About Us

Blackwater Valley is a local group of national Friends of the Earth. We are volunteers concerned about conserving and improving the environment encompassing Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet, Camberley, Bagshot and Frimley areas. Over the past few years we have for example grown a Bee World in Aldershot parks to increase the bee population, and measured the poor air quality in Surrey Heath, the constituency of Michael Gove, the current Secretary State for the Environment. Besides local issues we have supported national issues (e.g. opposing fracking) and international issues (e.g. climate change).
