We’re a group of volunteers from across Brighton and Hove, working to improve the environment of our vibrant city. We take action on a range of issues and work with other environmental and social action groups in the Greater Brighton area.
Brighton & Hove Friends of the Earth has campaigned for many years on a diverse range of issues – from the Newhaven incinerator and the South Downs National Park to air pollution, planning, bees, recycling, plastics, and climate change. And there are plenty of ways to get involved – such as helping out at stalls, writing content for our website and social media channels, planning campaigns, visiting MPs and councillors, or giving talks to local schools or community groups.
We’re always happy to welcome new people to the group – campaigning takes many forms and there's a place for everyone, whether you want to talk to members of the public and politicians, write blog posts or help with the quiet, organising jobs behind the scenes. We get together in person once a month in central Brighton. Check out Facebook for details of our next meeting. We’d love to see you there.
