Bude Friends of the Earth

Come and join our friendly group for hands-on experience and to learn about biodiversity in action.

The group meets on Thursdays (10.30am – 12.30pm) to maintain the community orchard and vegetable bed by the Neetside Centre and create wildlife-friendly areas in the town.

Other regular events include Apple Day at the orchard, plant and seed swaps, film nights and talks by experts such as the farmer hosting the Cornwall Beaver Project.

We join up with local groups including Sustainable Bude, Bude Climate Partnership and Bude Cubs and are involved in tree-planting schemes.

Bude FoE also campaigns on grassroots and national issues. One of our ongoing campaigns is to save a woodland in Stratton. We’ve also supported town councillors to promote no-mow May.
