Calderdale Friends of the Earth meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month (January-July, September-November) at 7.30pm in the White Lion, Hebden Bridge.

About this Group

This year we are really concerned about climate change. Internationally, nationally and locally as well, here in Calderdale. 


Calderdale Climate Change Strategy: approved at last!

9th January 2012  After years of persistent lobbying by both Friends of the Earth and our partners Calderdale Sustainability Forum (CSF), the process of securing this critical strategy to reduce CO2 emissions was finally completed on Monday 9th January when the Council's Cabinet gave its approval.

Big Climate Connection lobby - Support from Craig Whittaker MP

Calderdale Friends of the Earth has welcomed the support given by Craig Whittaker, MP for Calder Valley to climate change reduction - nationally, internationally and here in Calderdale- as part of the national 'Big Climate Connection' lobby". He met members of our group on Saturday 6th November as part of the national 'Big Climate Connection' lobby.

Calderdale Council urged to lead on local climate change reductions
