About Us

When and Where

We are a small, friendly, informal group and meet monthly at The Albion Pub, Upper Gate Street, Conwy (in the small room behind the bar area). We have worked on a few different issues:

⦁    Beach Cleans with the Marine Conservation Society at Conwy Morfa.

Why is beach cleaning so important? Some of our best-loved marine wildlife is under threat from the waste and litter in our seas, with hundreds of species accidentally eating or becoming entangled in litter. Litter on our beaches is also hazardous to people so we all have a part to play in turning the tide on litter.

⦁    Bees - we also work to protect all types of bees and other pollinators as part of Friends of the Earth's The Bee Cause campaign - if you are interested in bees then do come along and get involved!

⦁    Climate Change - we are working on the national FoE campaigns to combat climate change by opposing Fracking and monitoring local developments in reneweble energy.

⦁    We link up with other local FoE groups and have films nights and expert guest speakers. If you would like to come along, hear more about what we do and get involved then please do look at our regularly updated Facebook page or contact us via our e-mail. We welcome new members and visitors at all of our meetings, so please get in touch for information and details of our next meeting
