Croydon Friends of the Earth

Croydon Friends of the Earth campaigns on local and national environmental issues, from planting bee-friendly flowers and promoting clean, green energy, to supporting environmental campaigns and organising film shows and talks.

Be a part of positive change close to where you live or work – come and meet us and join in!

Our campaigns

We campaign for divestment from fossil fuels, improved air quality, and against plastic pollution.

Our Bee World at Croydon Ecology Centre provides fodder for pollinators and raises awareness of their endangerment.

We also supported the Stop the Incinerator campaign. Successes include helping to bring food waste recycling to Croydon and petitioning the council to stop spraying glyphosate weedkiller in public places such as streets and parks.

We campaign via stalls, films, petitions, public protests and demonstrations.

Get involved

We meet once a month at the Croydon & Bromley School of Philosophy, 13 Addiscombe Grove, CR0 5LR to discuss and plan our campaigns.

We’re always pleased to see new faces and whether your talents lie in writing, gardening, working with technical equipment or digital platforms, making props and posters, public speaking or being on a committee, there’s a role for you in our group.

It’s a great way to make new friends and become a vital part of the local community.
