Friday 14 June 2013 Guy Sheppard and I went to a primary school in Halesowen for the whole day. We did a pantomime of why we need bees in the whole school assembly. We then did different activities in the classrooms in the morning with Year 3 & 4. The activities included making model bees, making bee hotels and the waggle dance. In the afternoon after lunch, which the school kindly provided, we did some more activities with Year 5 & 6. The activities included bee quiz, hunt the bee friendly flowers and design a bee friendly garden. We have both been invited back to the school to help with planting some flowers in their bee friendly garden in the school. All the children were very excited and well behaved, which lead to a very enjoyable day for all.
