North Herts and Stevenage Friends of the Earth
We are a licensed local group of Friends of the Earth, supporting national campaigns and working on local environmental issues, currently including the proposed expansion of Luton Airport and our local councils' climate action plans. We aim to raise awareness of the climate and nature crises, and to help build support for a just transition to a low-carbon economy, through participation in public events and collaboration with other local organisations.
The group is run entirely by volunteers, and we meet regularly, normally online (via Zoom) on the third Thursday of the month. Meetings are open to all; please get in touch using the contact form to receive details. We also organise occasional in-person meetings and social gatherings (usually in Hitchin or Stevenage).
