North Tyneside Friends of the Earth was set up to make a difference, and has been going strong since 2004. We campaign for change in our community, to make a difference to the environment locally, nationally and globally.
Our campaigns include Air Pollution, with Friends of the Earth packs being distributed to 10 schools in the borough; No To Opencast Coal, with four opencast mines targeted in the North-East; No To Single-Use Plastics; and Sustainable Communities. The latest campaign we are getting involved in is Climate Action.
We meet on the last Tuesday of the month, with meetings starting at 7.30 pm at St Paul's Church community hall in Whitley Bay. We also have a stall at the Green Beans Market at Whitley Bay Metro station, from 10 am to 3 pm on the last Sunday of the month. Get in touch using the form below if you'd like to get involved.
