Swale Friends of the Earth

Swale Friends of the Earth is a voluntary group of people from different backgrounds united by one thing – our passion for creating a thriving world for everyone.

That means a healthy natural environment and a fair economy where everyone’s needs are met, now and in the future.

We have a great network of local members and organisations and work in a variety of engaging ways to not only raise awareness of threats but to also promote positive solutions.

Our campaigns

We promote the national campaigns of Friends of the Earth and we campaign at a local level to increase environmental awareness and bring about change.

We work on a range of issues: climate change, renewable energy, plastics, local air quality, wildlife, food and land-use.

We do this in a number of ways: from petitions to film shows, market stalls to commenting on planning applications, press work to comedy nights and talks at schools.

Get involved

Whatever you have to offer – enthusiasm, creativity, specialist skills or knowledge – we value your input. Getting involved is fun and rewarding and you can commit as much or as little time as you wish.

We meet every second Tuesday of the month in Faversham (more details on our Facebook site) and we always welcome new members.

Or you can just stay up to date with our activities by joining our mailing list. Get in touch below if you'd like to sign up to receive it.
