There is so much we can do at local level to look after the natural world around us – our countryside, plants, animals, rivers, hedgerows, footpaths.
Through campaigning, we can also encourage decision-makers at town, district, county and national level to prioritise the environment in their policies and show real leadership in the fight against climate breakdown and biodiversity loss.
Thirsk Friends of the Earth is a relatively new local group. If you're keen to do your bit for the environment, join us! From litter-picking and balsam bashing to climate campaigning and lobbying our MP for a green recovery, we want to make a difference, so let's get started!
