Thirsk Friends of the Earth

Thirsk Friends of the Earth was set up to help look after the beautiful natural world around us – like our countryside, plants, animals, rivers, moorland, hedgerows and footpaths – and to campaign on important environmental issues such as climate change, energy and transport.

Our campaigns

Through campaigning, we can encourage decision-makers at town, district, county and national levels to prioritise the environment in their policies, show real leadership in the fight against climate change and work towards a more sustainable future.

Get involved

If you’d like to get involved or suggest a local environmental project, whatever your interests (like litter, trees, biodiversity, rivers, plastic-free and zero-carbon initiatives, campaigning), contact Thirsk Friends of the Earth.

We look forward to hearing from you!
