Wyre Forest Friends of the Earth take action on issues including climate change, fossil-fuel extraction, renewable energy, sustainable transport, biodiversity, and plastic pollution. We work closely with other environmentally concerned groups in our area as part of a local green alliance.
We have campaigned for more action on air pollution; an end to fracking and investments in fossil fuels; action on single-use plastic; our local authorities to declare a climate emergency; measures to protect bees and other wildlife; and action against fare rises and cuts in public transport.
We hold monthly meetings and street stalls; host film screenings; take part in protests; help with the organisation and promotion of local green fairs; respond to policy consultations; and meet with politicians.
We meet on the second Thursday of the month at 8pm in the King & Castle, next to Kidderminster railway station.
We’re always happy to welcome new people into our very friendly group, so if you're interested in getting involved please contact us using the form below.
