Commenting on Farmageddon, the book uncovering the impact of cheap meat on our health and the environment being published tomorrow (Thursday 30 January 2014), Friends of the Earth Food Campaigner Kirtana Chandrasekaran said:
“The authors of this new book vividly illustrate the problems with livestock farming across the globe.
“The way we now produce and consume meat has damaging consequences for our health, animals and the planet.
“Governments worldwide must encourage consumers and the food industry to make the shift towards eating better quality meat and less of it.”
