Abergavenny and Crickhowell

Abergavenny & Crickhowell Friends of the Earth is an environmental campaign group taking action on a range of local and national issues including climate change, renewable energy, single-use plastic, pollinators and roadside verge and hedge cutting. Have a look at the campaigns section below to find out what we've been up to recently.

Our campaigns

Members of our group have been involved recently in campaigning on bee-friendly planting on council-managed land, getting supermarkets and local traders to ditch single-use plastics and getting our local Assembly Members to ban fracking in Wales.

A few members are planning to persuade the County Council to change its roadside verge-cutting routines and to stop spraying with glyphosate weed killer. A number of members are also active members of Extinction Rebellion and have supported some of its actions both locally and in Cardiff.
