Pontypridd Friends of the Earth is an environmental group based in the Pontypridd area. We work on local campaigns with other community groups to help make our town more environmentally friendly and biodiverse. We also work on national campaigns such as Climate Action to make a difference to the bigger picture.
We've been campaigning on improving the town for pollinators and have been successful in gaining official ‘Bee Friendly’ status for Pontypridd. We have an ongoing divestment campaign aimed at getting local and national government to move investments away from fossil fuels. We’ve been working with local community gardeners to set up a network for sustainable growing. We also have regular litter picks, and we have a newly formed Young Friends of the Earth group.
We're a friendly, informal group who work on both global and local environmental issues alongside the amazing community we have in Pontypridd. We meet on the last Thursday of every month at 7.30 pm in Clwb-y-Bont on Taff St. For more info email the group co-ordinator Caspar on [email protected] or by using the form below.
