Senedd elections 2021

Senedd Cymru is the Welsh Parliament, and it makes most of the laws and policies on climate and nature in Wales.

Every five year, voters in Wales get to elect the 60 members (MSs) that make up the Senedd. The next election is on 6 May 2021, and it's a great opportunity for Welsh voters to demand their candidates prioritise climate.

We're asking all candidates to take our Climate Action Pledge and:

  • Create an ambitious Climate Action Plan for Wales.
  • Swiftly deliver the actions necessary to tackle the climate and nature emergencies.
  • Build a fairer, greener society for us all.

If you can vote in Wales, will you spend two minutes asking your MS candidates to take the pledge?

Climate Action Plan for Wales

Wales is at a critical crossroads in its history and needs to address multiple emergencies – COVID-19 recovery, the climate and ecological emergency and ongoing inequalities across Wales.

Friends of the Earth Cymru have written a detailed plan they believe the next Welsh government should adopt, following the 2021 Senedd elections.
