Our local action groups
Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland has a network of hundreds of local action groups.
These groups are run by thousands of people just like you from all types of backgrounds, including nurses, students and grandparents. They bring people together to make their communities more climate-friendly and fight against projects that harm the planet.
Our global community
When you join Friends of the Earth, you become part of the biggest grassroots environmental campaigning community in the world. It covers 73 countries – from Norway to Australia, from South Korea to Colombia.
We're talking around 5,000 local activist groups and over 2 million members and supporters worldwide. All of them doing incredible things for a healthier, fairer world.
Closer to home Friends of the Earth Cymru and Friends of the Earth Northern Ireland have country teams, and Friends of the Earth Scotland is a separate organisation but part of our global network.
Over 50 years of success
We've been making change happen to help people and planet for over 50 years. From doorstep recycling, to the Climate Change Act, stopping fracking, banning bee-killing pesticides and halting plans for coal mines, we've got a history of success.
But we can only do it with the support of people just like you.
