  Joint letter to Michael Gove on Whitehaven coal mine 2022

In April 2022 Michael Gove has indicated he may approve the planning application for the Whitehaven coal mine. Friends of the Earth has joined 14 environmental NGOs and other organisations in signing a joint letter asking Michael Gove to refuse planning permission for the climate-wrecking development.

Ealing Friends of the Earth

Ealing Friends of the Earth takes action in the Borough of Ealing for positive environmental solutions at a local, regional, national, and international level. We aim to connect more people with the environment and to persuade politicians, businesses, and others to see things differently. We organise street stalls, public meetings, visits to schools, film screenings, and more. We've formed links with other local environmental groups, and we send a quarterly newsletter to our members and other supporters.
