Government to ease onshore wind ban

1 minReacting to government moves to ease the de facto ban on onshore wind, Friends of the Earth’s head of policy, Mike Childs, said:
“The ban on onshore wind should have been lifted years ago.
“We need all the tools we have to tackle the climate and cost-of-living crises, and cheap, clean and popular wind power has a crucial role to play.
“Rishi Sunak must put renewables and energy efficiency at the centre of government policy-making and pull the plug on new gas, coal and oil developments.”
