Friends of the Earth, ClientEarth and Good Law Project are taking the government to court for the second time in under 2 years in relation to the Climate Change Act 2008 and the government’s economy-wide decarbonisation plan. The 3 NGOs have all filed separate claims, seeking permission to bring a judicial review, alleging that the Carbon Budget Delivery Plan published on 30 March 2023 is unlawful.
