Lizard Peninsula Friends of the Earth is a Cornish campaigning group which covers the town of Helston and the surrounding area, as well as the whole of the Lizard Peninsula. As a rural area almost surrounded by the ocean, our emphasis is on issues affecting the marine and natural environment. We also work on national Friends of the Earth campaigns which have special local resonance, particularly climate change.

Many of us today are concerned about environmental problems, from extinction of wildlife species to traffic congestion and air that's unfit to breathe. These problems often seem too big to solve, leaving us feeling powerless to act.

That's where Sheffield Friends of the Earth comes in. We're made up of people from all walks of life who share a common concern for the state of the planet and a desire to do something about it.
