Salary: £64,557 - £71,880 per annum (pro rata) Inc. LW

We’re looking for an exceptional Director of Finance and Regulatory Affairs to join our dynamically changing organisation.
As Director of Finance and Regulatory Affairs you’ll be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The SLT is responsible for leading and inspiring the Friends of the Earth movement towards its vision of a markedly improved natural environment.
Leading our Finance, Facilities and IT functions, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that Friends of the Earth is financially sustainable and is compliant with relevant regulations and laws and you’ll oversee our organisational infrastructure. The role supports the SLT by ensuring stability and at the same time helping to enable the innovation and risk taking needed to drive change.
A Chartered Accountant who has worked at senior level, you’ll have experience in leading strategic financial planning and implementation and you’ll possess in-depth knowledge of forecasting, budgeting and reporting in a complex organisation.
With an understanding of IT operational management and implementation of IT-enabled projects, you’ll also need to have first class facilitation and negotiation skills and you’ll have overseen the development and implementation of strategic plans and organisational change processes.
Ideally, you’ll have good knowledge of charity law and other charity regulatory frameworks, although experience of working in the charity sector is not essential.
