What is the Supporter Panel?

We want to better understand our supporters. Your interests, your habits and what makes you tick. That’s where our Supporter Panel comes in.

Through a series of survey tasks sent via email, we’ll be able to learn from you. We’ll be testing digital products, fundraising communications, campaigning ideas and much more.

We’ll ensure your voice is heard. It’s up to you how much you get involved.

With your help, we can gain a clearer idea of how to inspire more people to protect people and planet.

What will I be asked about?

We’ll be asking you for your advice on how best to communicate with you, our supporters.

We work in a fast-paced environment where the fight against climate breakdown never stops. We’ll be asking you for your advice on how we can best talk to you, our supporters.

Which environmental issues are most important to you?
What would you like to see Friends of the Earth focus on in the future?
What would make you want to support us?
What would make you want to make a donation to us?

These are just a few of the questions you can expect in your inbox over the coming months.

We’ll also be testing digital products, fundraising communications, campaigning ideas and much more.

What if I want to leave the panel?

You can change your mind and unsubscribe from the Supporter Panel at any time. We’ll remove your details so you no longer get invitations to take part in surveys.

How long will each survey take?

Surveys will normally take between 5 and 10 minutes to complete.

How often will I be asked to take part in a survey?

We’ll never send you more than one survey each month. We’ll send you tasks throughout the year, but only when we feel it’s worth your time.

How long will I have to complete a survey after you’ve sent it?

This will vary from survey to survey, but typically you’ll have around 7 days to complete a survey. The closing date of the survey will be shown in each email.

Do I have to complete any/ all surveys?

No, your participation as a panel member is entirely voluntary and you can choose which surveys to complete based on your interests and the time you have available. You won’t be removed from the panel if you don’t complete any surveys.

Will I be paid to take part in surveys?

We won’t be offering any financial reward for taking part. We’re grateful for any answers you provide, so we may offer you non-financial rewards for completing our surveys.
