1 min1. Fill an old saucer or small plate with water.
Make sure the saucer or plate isn't too deep, or it'll put your visitors at risk.
2. Add some stones for bugs and small birds to perch on.
Adding stones gives them something to hold on to as they take a drink.
3. Add some leaves or sticks so little bugs can get in and out.
4. Make sure the mini pond has some shade – a corner of a windowsill or hidden area in your garden is perfect.
Water will evaporate faster if your mini pond is in full sunlight.
5. Keep an eye on your pond and see what comes to visit!
Top it up when needed, and use our bee identification guide to spot which bees are visiting your patch.
