A mass lobby for people, climate and nature
On Wednesday 9 July 2025, we’re joining The Climate Coalition (TCC) in the largest environmental lobby of parliament. And we'd love for you to take part.
TCC, along with its sister groups in Wales and Scotland, brings together organisations representing 20 million supporters across the UK. Together, we’ll call for leadership that protects what matters most – our climate, nature, health and communities. By acting now, we can shape a future where people and planet thrive together.
You don’t need to have met your MP before – in fact, this might be your first political event. A mass lobby simply means lots of people meeting with their MPs on the same day to have powerful conversations on issues they care about. And together with TCC, we’ll provide all the support you need to get involved.
What we're calling for
Everyone will be asking their MPs to take urgent action on climate and nature. The lobby takes place roughly 100 days before the government is expected to publish its new climate plan, so we’re asking you to support our Big Climate Plan campaign.
Ask your MP to:
- Support a bold and fair climate plan
- Write to Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves to ask for their support.
To help you persuade your MP, we and TCC have produced 2-page briefings for every constituency. Your briefing sets out how a strong climate plan will benefit your area – including local stats on warmer homes, green jobs, cleaner air, better bus services and greater energy security.
Join us on the day
We'd love to say hello if you can join us.
- The "Big Moment," 12pm, Parliament Square. Join thousands of people from across the UK for a collective action to show our support for climate and nature. There’ll be musical performances, speakers and plenty of opportunities to network and enjoy the atmosphere. We’ll gather beforehand outside our hub. More info to follow.
- Friends of the Earth hub space, 9am-4pm, City of Westminster Archives Centre. Come for refreshments, to chat with our staff and to meet others. The address is 10 Saint Ann's Street, London SW1P 2DE.
- Friends of the Earth stall, all day, the Queen Elizabeth II Centre. Pop by to browse stalls from Friends of the Earth and other organisations. The address is Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, London SW1P 3EE.
