1 minResponding to reports that the Australian government may insist on the UK accepting hormone-treated beef as part of a trade deal between the two nations, Friends of the Earth campaigner Kierra Box said:
“Ministers promised that UK standards on animal welfare and the environment wouldn’t be slashed post-Brexit, so caving in on hormone-treated beef would be a complete betrayal.
“Liam Fox must make it clear that the UK government won’t compromise on its green Brexit pledges to secure any new trade deals.”
